On Monday 7 June 2010 the following was aired on ABC Victoria Country Hour.
You might have seen signs on roadsides saying, "control serrated tussock now"!
It's one of Victoria's most serious introduced weeds and has just become even more difficult to control.
Serrated tussock is now showing signs of herbicide resistance, so it's now even harder to get rid of.
The chemical is flupropanate, so the only alternative is glyphosate which will kill all other plants, so farmers have to be very selective in how they spray.
